The story behind the name...
After leaving corporate America, I took time to pause and reflect—to understand what energized me, what I valued most, and what I wanted from the next chapter of my work.
While vacationing in Cabo, I fell into a simple morning ritual: journaling at a small café called Doce Cuarenta. It became a quiet space for thinking, clarifying, and reconnecting with possibility. Only later did I learn the name translated to 1240 — a number associated with grounding, clarity, and intentional change. It captured exactly the state of mind I was in.
Around the same time, another number kept surfacing as I imagined the kind of consultancy I wanted to build: 1248 — the beginning of the exponential growth sequence.
The connection between twelve forty (reflection, focus), twelve forty eight (acceleration, expansive possibility), and my next chapter ambitions felt too aligned to ignore.
And "State" captured the mindset behind it all — a way of being grounded in intention, clarity, and leaning in to the possible.
And with that, State1248 was born.
